This card uses a new technique I've just learned from the Technique Junkies newsletter. It is called Watercolor Resist and you can see it on the background of the embossed leaves.
The stamps are from the Embrace Life stamp set. I find this set so versatile! I used a Pale Plum card and stamped the leaves in Pale Plum Ink. The next layer shows the same leaf stem embossed using VersaMark ink and Gold detail E.P. The background is made using watercolor crayons. Isn't it soft and pretty? It is layered on a Mellow Moss paper, then tied up with a piece of grosgrain ribbon.
The focal point blossom is also embossed with VersaMark ink and gold E.P. on Pink Pirouette paper. It is layered over a piece of Mellow Moss card, then embellished with the smallest pink rhinestone brad from the Fire Circles collection. I purposly left a sentiment off the front of this card so I could use it for almost any occasion.
The watercolor resist is described in the Technique Junkies newsletter, and it is so easy to do!
Thank's for stopping by. Have a great day!
