Casing SU
This card was inspired by one that was featured in the January - April Occasisons Mini Catalog on page 17. The Mixed Bunch stamp set was used to create a square card. I made mine a standard 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card front and made a few alterations.
I love the pleated ribbon and the pretty layout.
The pleated yellow lolly gave me a bit of trouble. It wanted to pop out of place. Other than that it was not difficult to make.
It's fun to CASE (copy and share everything) instead of starting from scratch every time!

Mixed Bunch in Yellow
Today I am sharing another card with the Mixed Bunch stamp set. This is such an easy stamp to work with. I love the coordinating punch which makes cutting and layering so easy.
The base card is Daffodil Yellow, topped with Pumpkin Pie card stock, and then Whisper White. The Elegant Bouquet embossing folder provides a subtle background for the flower which was stamped once on the card, then stamped again and punched out. It was popped up with dimmensionals. A flower center was inked in yellow and the dots were colored with a Pumpkin Pie marker before stamping it on a white scrap. Then it was punched out with a 3/4" circle punch.
Inside, I embossed a few of the flowers from the Elegant Bouquet folder and stamped a few flower centers to carry the color and theme to the inside of the card.
This was such a quick card to make. Wouldn't it be pretty in other colors, also?

Simply Fabulous Florets
So sorry I've been a lazy blogger. Actually my DH and I have been traveling and visiting lots of relatives. I'll try to be a little more effecient with my posting in the weeks to come!
This is a card I made for a friend. The ink is Lucky Limeade. The paper is some I had in my stash, but in real life the color is very close to Lucky Limeade. The background stamp is the retired French Script.
I love the Grateful Heart sentiment which is from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set. This is a set I just got recently and was anxious to use. A butterfly from the Beautiful Wings sizzlit and a little sponging around the edge finish the card. I like the monochromatic color scheme although it's not sosmething I use very often. Enjoy!
Thanks for visiting.
