Graduation card

Here's a graduation card I made for a family friend who's graduating from High School. Both the sentiment and the cap are from retired stamp sets. The background is a Cuttlelbug embossing folder.

The hat was stamped and embossed twice, first on white card stock, then on the brilliant blue. The white one was punched out with a 1 3/8" circle punch and layered on two scalloped punches. The blue cap was cut out and attached over the white one, so the tassle from the one underneath showed. The sentiment was inked first in VersaMark and then into Brilliant blue ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder. Some bright blue grosgrain ribbon was attached under the scallops. Colors used were Brilliant Blue, Whisper White, and Marigold Morning card stock. I like the simplicity of this card. I hope the graduate likes it, too!
