Celebrating Dad

As Father's Day approaches I thought it was appropriate to make a card for a Dad.  While my DGD was here last week she pulled out this stamp set and made a card for her Daddy.  I loved what she made in Red, White, and Night of  Navy card stock.  When I came across the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge this week,  I immediately thought of her sweet card.  I chose the same stamp set and made my version  for the PPA136 Challenge.  I also found that it met the requirements for Freshly Made Sketches # 38, as well as Jadee's Theme Challenge #98  for the Paper Players.

The stamp set is SU's retired Plane and Simple.  I love the crisp  image it makes in the Real Red ink.  I also used the Houndstooth embossing folder and the  tiny tag punch.  The Dad was hand lettered with a Stampin' Up marker.

Inside, a white card decorated with a Night of Navy  border completes the writing area.
I had fun trying these challenges.  Please click on the links and see what others have made for their entries.  Thanks for visiting!
