Serene Silhouettes sympathy

This card was created as a sympathy card for a friend who lost her father recently.
The Serene Silhouettes stamp set was used for this card.

I was inspired by Michele Zindorf's creation and tried to case it closely, with the exception of the birds which I added.  I was pleased with the results, and my friend was very grateful for the thoughtful card.

.   I decorated the inside as below.

I enjoy using silhouette cards, and this stamp set is one of my favorites.
Thanks for looking!

Butterfly Sympathy

Just a quick card today using the beautiful Swallowtail  stamp set.

I don't know what happened with the camera.  This butterfly is actually stamped in Soft Sky ink on Whisper White paper!  The sentiment is retired.
This card is lovely in real life.  Hope you enjoy the quick and simple idea.

Stamping  time was short this weekend as my three boys were here to help me celebrate my birthday. It was wonderful!

Happy stamping!

Creative Elements embossed

I've been anxious to use this beautiful flourish for several days.  I finally decided it was so elegant it should be embossed.  I used VersaMark ink and gold detail embossing powder on So Saffron card stock.  It proved to be as beautiful as I expected.  The butterfly was stamped and embossed on the card,  then stamped, embossed again, and cut out to layer over the first one.
I used the Adorning Accents Edgelit to sculpt the edge of the card.  A touch of a Crumb Cake marker along the curved edge gave it just enough detail to make it pop from the card.  (This is probably  not visible from the photo.)  This card layer was attached with Stampin' Up  Dimensionals.
Inside, a verse from the Trust God stamp set was inked in Basic Gray Ink.  The flourish image was stamped again in VersaMark and embossed with gold EP.  I will be using this as a sympathy card.

Thanks for looking,
