Birthday Lovely as a Tree

I still love this "Old Favorite" stamp set, Lovely as a Tree (#128655 wood, or 127793 clear). It is always easy to make a nice masculine card with these images.

I used the First Edition Specialty DSP as my background and decorated with ribbons on the side.
The birthday sentiment is from the hostess set Express Yourself and it was punched out with the Modern Label punch.  I love how easily this card went together.

Lovely Tree sponged

I've been doing a lot of sponging  backgrounds lately and love the pretty effect!  For this card, I masked off about a 2" strip on the card front and sponged in the  background, starting at the top with a light blue, and progressing down to the bottom edge with light yellow, then shades of green.  The trees, from Lovely as a Tree stamp set, were stamped with Black StazOn ink.  Thinking of you is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

The sponging was carried over to the inside of the card, and the trees were added on the inside edge.
The card stock is Whisper White and Old Olive.
