Gorgeous Grunge birthday

After a busy holiday season and a wonderful Christmas with our children and grandchildren, I'm finally getting back into a normal routine. I hope you had a happy holiday season also.

My card share today is a birthday card I made earlier this month.
I used Gorgeous Grunge and Clockworks stamp sets to create this card.
My inspiration came from the card on page 108 in our Stampin' Up catalog.
I used some retired DSP for the card base, and Crumbcake and Marina Mist ink pads.
The happy birthday sentiment is hard to see in this photo.  It was stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder,  It was punched out with the word window punch.

I like  how the red  paper helps create the focal point.
I think the card was a hit, especially with the money that was tucked inside!
Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Beach-themed Birthday

.

As I was planning a card for my son's birthday I found a sketch that I liked from the Paper  Players, Sketch # 156.  I decided it would work for the type of card I wanted after I turned the sketch on it's side.   Here is the sketch I used.

I selected By the Tide stamp set and the Along the Shore stamp set (retired).
Teeny Tiny wishes was used for the sentiment, and Itty Bitty Backgrounds provided a nice sandy-looking background for the card.  The card stock selected includes Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Whisper White.

The images were stamped with black ink and Soft Suede ink pads. Watercolor crayons and an Aqua Painter were used to color them.
Accessories include  3/4" and 1" circle punches and the modern label punch.
I  am pleased with the way it turned out. It worked out great for a masculine card.

Thanks for looking.  Enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday with MDS

This is my first MDS project that I've actually  finished and printed.
It's a birthday card for my DH, and it is a tag that I designed using a photo of his very first car, an antique automobile.
This is a hybrid card.  The happy birthday sentiment was stamped and cut out with a banner framelit.  The card stock is Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.
The stripes embossing folder was used for the layer behind the tag with the photo.  I'm glad I've finally made a finished project with MDS.

Masculine birthday

Here's a card I made for my grandson this week.  The number 15 was computer generated.
I thought the images from the Packed for Dad stamp worked out quite for this card since my grandson will be getting his learner's driving permit soon.
The card stock is Baja Breeze and coordinating card stock is retired Elegant Soiree.
Inside, I used the Celebrate greeting from the Outlined Occasions stamp set.  It was colored in with SU watercolor pencils.
Love the easy layout!
