This card combines two of my favorite stamp sets: Baroque Motifs and Carte Postale. These images just seem to go together! The large swirl is stamped in Always Artichoke, and the Leaves are in Mellow Moss. I used my Stampin' Pastels to add some other shades of green on the leaves. The bird was stamped in VersaMark and brushed with chalk to give it color. I sponged More Mustard and So Saffron ink around the edges of the card. I wanted to emboss the medallion so I created my own pigment ink. I stamped first in VersaMark, then right into the Purely Pomegranate ink pad, then on to the paper. Then I embossed with clear E.P. I cut the image out with scissors, then layered it onto a scallop punched out of Soft Sky. I needed some color behind the scallop so I made a circle by punching 2 round tab punches and putting them together to make the circle. A tiny red rhinestone finishes of the center of the medallion. Some double-stitched pomegranate ribbon was tied around the white and pomegranate layers. I attached all of this to the Soft Sky 4 x 8 1/2 card. I got my inspiration for this card from a creation by
Sophie LaFontaine.
