A Cardinal Christmas

This lovely card was made with the Stained Glass technique. The image was stamped in VersaMark and embossed with Black E.P. on vellum card stock. Then the image was colored in on the back of the vellum. The lovely detail in this stamp makes it look like there was a lot of shading, but actually it is just colored in with real red, more mustard, and olive markers. The vellum is attached to a piece of white card stock with silver brads. It is then layer over old olive and then riding hood red card panels.
The designer paper is from the Ski Slope pack. Don't you love it's lacy look? The sentiment is stamped in basic black ink and punched out with the large oval punch. It is layered on a piece of riding hood red that was punched out with the large oval punch, then cut in the middle to spread it out to the edges of the oval with the sentiment. What a fun technique!
The card base is Baja Breeze. I've seen several cards with this technique, so I don't remember how much of this one is borrowed from someone else. Please let me know so I can give you credit if it's yours. It was fun making it!
