Die Cut Flower Card

I found this adorable flower while looking at blogs this weekend. I just had to give it a try! This particular flower came from My Creations blog. I used the Spellbinders scalloped circle dies for the petal layers and a cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder to make the center. I decided to place it on a SU top note die cut. I cut 2 leaves out of Old Olive paper and ran them through my paper crimper. I used the SU scalloped edge punch on the background paper.

I really like the effect of sponging the edges of each layer. A small piece of ribbon finished off the top of the card.

This was such a fun card to make. It measures 5" square.
