Masculine Birthday

Here's a birthday card I created yesterday. It is always a challenge to make a masculine card. This one uses striped paper, shapes cut with Nestabilities dies, and and embossing.
I decided to stamp the candles first on the oval card. The oval was sponged lightly with Brilliant Blue ink. Next, the cake was stamped with VersaMark and Brilliant blue, then embossed with clear E.P. on Bashful Blue card stock. I cut out the cake and layered it on top of the candles with dimensionals. A blue brad was added to the sentiment layer as an accent. It was simply done and a quick card to make.
Supplies used:

Stamps from retired sets: All Year Cheer II, Eat Cake

Card stock: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Whisper White.

Ink: Black StazOn, Brilliant Blue, VersaMark.

Miscellaneous: Clear E.P. and a blue brad, Spellbinders Nestabilities dies, striped paper.

Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by!
