Birthday Flip Card

This  bright and cheerful card was made with the  circle thinlits framelit.  The card stock is Calypso Coral and coordinating designer paper (retired).
The circle  was stamped with a free Sale-a-Bration product , See ya Later stamp set.
The cupcake builder punch made the perfect size cupcake for the card.  The cherry on top was coated with  Crystal Effects.
When the card is opened, the reverse side of the circle shows the sentiment from the Bring on the Cake stamp set.
Thanks to Catherine Harwood for this cute idea.

Fast and Fabulous Birthday card

This pretty birthday card was made with the Fast and Fabulous Hostess set, Sweet Summer Sale-a-bration, Perfectly Penned, and Yippee Skippee stamp sets.  I've seen several cards that have used this open circle design, and I was anxious to give it a try.

 Here's how I made it:
I stamped the green leaves and colored them with a marker.
Stamped flower image on scrap paper (using Stamp-a-ma-jig) and cut it out.
Stamped the greeting, cut it out with paper snips, glued it to Basic Black card stock, then cut it out again.
Stamped the inside.
Cut out circle with die and Big Shot.
Assembled the card.

This photo shows the layering.

Here's the inside.

 .

I hope my friend likes her card.

Card stock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Basic Black
Ink: Garden Green, Strawberry Slush, Certainly Celery  marker,
VersaFine Onyx Black
Accessories: 2" circle die, paper snips, Stampin' Dimensionals,
 Big Shot, Magnetic Platform.

Gorgeous Grunge birthday

After a busy holiday season and a wonderful Christmas with our children and grandchildren, I'm finally getting back into a normal routine. I hope you had a happy holiday season also.

My card share today is a birthday card I made earlier this month.
I used Gorgeous Grunge and Clockworks stamp sets to create this card.
My inspiration came from the card on page 108 in our Stampin' Up catalog.
I used some retired DSP for the card base, and Crumbcake and Marina Mist ink pads.
The happy birthday sentiment is hard to see in this photo.  It was stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder,  It was punched out with the word window punch.

I like  how the red  paper helps create the focal point.
I think the card was a hit, especially with the money that was tucked inside!
Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!

New Shoes

Don't you love these  gorgeous shoes?  They have  been selected for the Week 130 A Pinterest Picture Inspiration on the Less is More Challenge  Blog.
I was inspired by the black & white color combo
and a chance to use a shoe stamp since I always love to find stylish shoes!
I found the shoe stamp in my box of stamps I "had to have" but never used. It fit this challenge perfectly!

I stamped this cute balloon from Stampin' Up's retired Crazy for Cupcakes set.  Next I layered the shoe, punched out with the large oval punch, over a piece if Night & Day dsp.

The shoe stamp is by Savvy Stamps and the sentiment is unknown.
Small rhinestones were added to the straps for some necessary bling.
I love how quick this card was to make!

Butterflies for a Birthday

I was inspired by a card  I found recently on Amy  Bollman's blog.  The colors as well as the pretty layout were CASED although some elements were modified when I made my card.

I added texture on the large circles by running card stock through some embossing folders and  then punching out the circles.
The Basic Rhinestones provide the perfect bling on each butterfly.  Each element uses the same three colors: Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Summer Starfruit.
The birthday sentiment is from Elementary Elegance, a retired Sale-a-bration set.
Other supplies are:
Papillion Potpourri Stamp set
Elegant Butterfly punch
1" and 1 1/4" circle punches
Bitty Banners Framelits
Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and Summer Starfruit card stock and Inks
Whisper White card stock for the card base
Square Lattice, Perfect Polka Dots, &  Houndstooth Embossing Folders
Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons
1/4" white grosgrain ribbon, dyed with sponge and Pool Party ink pad
Every Day Enchantment brads, retired.

This is a wonderful card for butterfly fanatics!  I hope you have fun with them, too.

Dressed up in Pink

I am loving the new Dressed Up Framelits!  I decided to use them to make this card for my Granddaughter's birthday.  She loves clothes and shopping, so this gift should take care it.

My inspiration came from a card by Debbie Henderson that I saw on Stampin' Connection.  I liked how she used the framelits behind the dress.
I embossed the bodice of the dress and attached ruffles from Pretty in Pink striped ribbon (retired).

The inside of the card shows a  gift card holder attached on the left side.  It repeats the colors and shapes from the front, and provides enough space to slip the gift card inside.

Supplies:
Stamp set: Bring on the Cake
Ink colors:  Regal Rose, Basic Gray, Baja Breeze
Card stock colors: Basic Gray, Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink, Naturals White, retired DSP.
Accessories: Pink Grosgrain ribbon, Labels Framelits, All Dressed Up framelits, Oval wreath embossing folder, basic pearls, large oval punch, Sizzix Big Shot. sponges, sticky strip, Snail adhesive.

Although the pearls look pink in the photo, they are actually white.

{Freshly Made} sketches challenge

I'm getting a head start with this cute birthday card for my grandson who has a birthday at the end of March.
The stamp sets I used are Under the Stars, Bring on the Cake, and Crazy for Cupcakes.  Both heat  embossing and dry embossing were used.

The  Happy Birthday greeting was stamped inside, along with more embossed stars.

I hope my grandson likes this card.   Sometimes it's hard to make cute cards for boys!!  This {Freshly Made} challenge makes the job much easier. I don't have to work so hard on the layout!

Here is the sketch for this week.

Be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches and see what the other players have made!
