Brayered background technique

I'm sorry I've been a stranger lately!
I had surgery to repair my rotator cuff a short time ago and I've not had the energy to post.  I also can't stamp while I'm wearing a sling, so that's the predicament I'm in.
I'll try sharing some cards I made a while back, and I hope to be stamping again in a few weeks.
Today my card is one that was made with a retired set called Asian Artistry.  I love the way the lines in the images flow so easily.
My card base is Basic Black, topped with a layer of Whisper White that was embossed with the Framed Tulips embossing folder.
That layer was masked with a circle punch and brayered with blue ink. After removing the mask the circle was sponged in with So Saffron ink.
The images were stamped in craft black ink and heat embossed with black EP and a heat  tool.
Markers were used to color the dragonfly wings and add the green ground area.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched out with a word window punch and layered over a black punchout made with the decorative label punch.
I hope you'll try some brayered backgrounds on your cards.  You'll love the look!
Thanks for visiting!
