Voila birthday for Challenge card

This cute card uses the stamp set Voila. I chose summer sun, real red, and basic black as the main colors and stamped on whisper white. I chose these colors to enter in Cindy Lou's Olympic Challenge.

I used the paper piecing technique for his cuffs, scarf, and the cake. The cake also has crystal effects and glitter to make it very specially decorated!

His jacket and cheeks were shaded with chalks. The birthday sentiment was punched out with the wide oval punch. Then I punched two more wide ovals out of the black paper, cut them in half, and overlapped them to make the piece in the back.

The red and white striped grosgrain ribbon picks up the color again. It is wrapped around the yellow layer and taped in the back. The knot was tied and attached with a glue dot.

I love this little fellow! I hope the stamp set stays around for a long time!
