Great Friend card box

This lovely box is a CASE of one I'd seen here. I changed the DSP so it would match my cards which I showed you in earlier posts. This box is so easy to do! Kimberly (the original designer) gives excellent directions at the link I've given. It will make a lovely gift for someone special. I hope you'll give it a try.
The supplies I used include:
Baja Breeze and Whisper White card stock
Tea Party DSP
Celery Twill ribbon
Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery ink
Great Friend stamp set and It's Beautiful jumbo wheel
Sticky Strip and Dimensionals

Top Note Easter Basket

Here's another fun project for you. I used the Top Note die to make this cute Easter Basket. The Designer paper was glued to pink card stock, then cut out with the top note die and the Big Shot machine. Actually, I cut 2 of them out for the front and back of the basket. Inside I folded the bottom flap down on a small brown lunch bag and glued the bag to the inside of the top notes. I used the large oval punch to make the handles. The decorative embellishments on the front are made from the Simple Flower embosslit die, the Little Leaves Sizzlet die, and and the large oval punch. Some pink organdy ribbon and some Easter Grass finish the project. Very quick and easy to do! I hope you like it.

Top Note Die Box

This cute box was cased from KarenG who posted it on her blog. I really love the way she decorated it, and I just changed the DSP and varied the embellishments. It opens up to reveal a treat of your choice!

To make the covers, I glued rose red paper on both sides of a 5 x 4 1/2" piece of white cardboard with a SU glue stick. After giving it a few minutes to dry, I cut it out with the top note die and my Sizzix machine. I repeated the process for the bottom piece. Next, I cut 2 pieces of the DSP and trimmed along the perforated edge. I attached it to the cardboard piece with my snail adhesive. I stamped and punched out the scalloped embellishment and attached it to the little front. To make the box, I scored a quarter sheet of card stock 1" all around, snipped 4 parallel tabs and folded it up. To make the other box piece, I did the same, except the scoring was 1/16" narrower, so it would fit inside the other box half.

One Sheet Pocket Book

This little booklet was made from a single sheet of designer paper. Inside are little pockets, and each pocket holds a tag. Of course, you could slip photos in the pockets instead of a tag. I like the tags because I plan to stamp favorite sentiments on some and put photos on others. The cover is stamped with polka dots and daisies stamp set.

To learn how to make this fun pocket book you can find a tutorial on Vicki Hook's blog on Apr. 28. The directions are so easy to follow you can have one made in a matter of minutes! Since I don't have a book binder I tied my pocket book up with ribbons.

Decorate a "Purse" style card tin

It's been several days since I posted here, so it's time for a big one! I've been working on cards to go in my "purse tin" for my December 4th workshop. These are a lot of fun! The cards are note card size (3 1/2" x 5"). They are all embellished with cute Build-A-Flower Accents and Elements as well as ribbon, brads, or Pretties from our new Pretties Kit. Envelopes are also provided for the cards and are from the SU note cards and small envelopes pack.

Halloween Treat Tin

I couldn't resist making this little treat tin! I had purchased a few of them from Oriental Trading some time ago and hadn't decided what to do with them. I decided to cover it with some scraps of paper left from last year's Halloween stash. I glued a narrow ribbon around the edge of the lid with sticky strip, and cut a piece of paper to cover the top.

Next I pulled out the retired Fun Faces set. I love this set and use it every year! I stamped the "ghost face" on white with basic black ink, then punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. It is mounted on a black circle made with the 1 3/8" punch, then on an orange circle made with our scallop punch. A piece of orange organdy ribbon and a Happy Halloween greeting finished the front. It was fun to make. Hope you like it!
