Peaceful Petals Artsy style

We had several days of rain last week so I decided to make something that was bright and cheery.
The Peaceful Petals stamp set ( #133104 wood, 133107 clear) can be adapted to many techniques, so I chose sponging and water coloring for my techniques.

After stamping and coloring the flower I added some Crystal Effects to the flower center.
The floral theme was repeated on the inside. It was stamped ever so lightly with Smoky Slate ink.
I ended up using the Big Shot for the remainder of the project.

Card stock and ink colors used were Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.
Accessories include the Big Shot, Magnetic Platform and Standard Platform, Apothecary Arts Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing  folder, Basic Pearls, Sponge Daubers, Aqua Painter, assorted markers and Crystal Effects.

Stamping Double Layers Technique

This card was made with the Double Time stamping technique and the masking technique.

To apply this technique, two white cards were attached with a temporary adhesive and stamped.  Then the layers were separated and layered with a colored piece of card stock under the top card.
For this card I covered the stamped flowers with a mask before stamping the leaves. Then the masking layer was removed and the leaves appear like they are behind the flowers.
You can see how the inside was finished below.

Here are the supplies I used:

Popped up Petals

When a petal is popped up it  makes a great impact!  Look at this card and you will see what I mean.

The petal was heat embossed and colored in with an Aqua painter and ink refills.  Then it was cut out with paper snips and popped up in the circle with dimensionals.

The stems of flowers were stamped to create a pattern across the card.

Here is a close-up of the blossom.

The last photo shows how the inside of the card was  finished.
It's so bright and cheerful I know I'll love sending it to someone special!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a beautiful day!
